Blogs exist as a way of sharing information and, for that information to be shared, the blogs have to be known. I suspect that many people in LMD have blogs, but who? Here’s a challenge…Add comments to this blog post with information on blogs written by OR contributed to by members of this division. (Let’s focus on non-SLA blogs.) I’ll start us off with three blogs/bloggers I know of:
- de Stricker, http://www.destrickerblog.com/de_stricker/
- InfoBuzz, http://www.dysartjones.com
- eNetworking 101, http://www.enetworking101.com/blog
What others do YOU know of??? Come on…Let’s create a directory of LMD bloggers!

Ok – well there would be yours:
http://hurstassociates.blogspot.com/
and there’d be Stephen’s:
http://stephenslighthouse.sirsi.com
Hmmm…if I think of any others, I’ll post them.
(BTW – great job, Jill! Maybe we can see how much – or how little – traffic we have on this blog from your question. Of course, this blog is still a baby and these things take time …)

Glad to find you here, Carolyne! (And I agreed with your rant.)

I haven’t updated it in a while, but my blog The Industrial Librarian is at: http://davehook.blogspot.com
I blog but not about professional topics and issues. I do watch several professional and non-professional blogs using Google Reader.
My personal blog is called, “The Natural Horse Lover.” The URL is located at: http://naturalhorselover.blogspot.com/ This blog was created as a forum to share my horses and our journey with Parelli Natural Horsemanship.
(If this is not of interest, feel free to delete from the comments on LMD.)
Michelle, very cool that you’ve created this blog to document your journey with PNH. Like a “true librarian”, you’re sharing important information about what you’re doing and creating a great repository.
Thanks Jill. Your comment really hits home. I run a Parelli group and post my blog topics there. People have responded very positively and tell me that they are learning through my journey. (Most are shy and unable or unwilling to discuss what they are experiencing.) They say that my reflections and thoughts help them assess their horse-human relationships. I guess my profession has positively spilled into the rest of my life and the consequence is that it has helped others. –Michelle
